On Being Asked, Again, If We Are Robots

It has come to our attention that people continue to ask whether Probably Not Robots is run by robots. We would like to address this, calmly, one final time, in writing, so that we may refer future inquiries to this post.

We are not robots. The music on this label is made by human beings with hands, ears, and, in at least one documented case, a head cold. We have payroll. We take lunch. We find Mondays difficult, like everyone.

We understand the confusion. The name invites it. The press releases are, perhaps, a little smooth. The FAQ answers questions before you finish asking them. None of this is evidence. It is, at most, a vibe.

In conclusion: no. Next question. We mean that warmly.
